I am just now reading through Shel Silverstein’s catalog of books for the first time. This book had such a wide collection of poems with imaginative illustrations. They’re thoughtful, funny, creepy and sad.
My favorite was the title poem.

One of my favorites as a child! I highly recommend reading it again as an adult! Didn’t disappoint! Memories unlocked!

These poetry books were my entire childhood. I cherished these books over many memories. On this quick reread, a few hit much deeper than they ever did as a child. Alice stood out in particular.
