I read this book through Libby, our library lending app, but I’m going to purchase the book, as it is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. The author does a beautiful job of weaving fictional characters through historical places and events. This is way more than historical fiction. I had trouble putting the book down on a nightly basis and stayed up WAY to late several nights. I loved the writing style and loved the main characters. I cried at parts and smiled at others. I couldn’t recommend this book more to anyone who loves historical fiction and if you’ve never read in that genre, this is an excellent place to start. Off to re-read…

I loved this book so much! I bought it to read during my vacations and I simply had it with me all times. Such an amazing story that keeps you involved in different ways with the characters. I cried twice reading it! Really recommend it.
