Description

“But sooner or later your mother will find us,” Walter said, glancing back at the house. “She always does.”

The boy’s eyes sparkled. “Then this time, we need to go where we’ve never gone before,” he said. “Into the uncut grass!”

In the spirit of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, this beautifully illustrated fable follows a child’s journey beyond home to discover the power of sharing, connection, and peace with those we love. Filled with the author’s signature wit and imagination, and brought to life by visionary artist Sabina Hahn, this timeless tale is perfect for readers of all ages—whether read aloud or alone.
