The Instant #1 New York Times Bestseller!
A bold new approach to optimizing our health, now and in the future.
What if many of the health conditions that plague us—such as depression, anxiety, infertility, insomnia, heart disease, erectile dysfunction, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s, dementia, cancer, and more—share a common root cause?
Description
Dr. Casey Means reveals in this groundbreaking book that our ability to prevent and even reverse these conditions, while feeling amazing today, is within our control and simpler than we think. The key lies in our metabolic function, the most crucial yet least understood factor in our overall health.
Dr. Means explains that nearly every health issue we face can be traced back to how effectively the cells in our bodies create and use energy. To break free from chronic symptoms and life-threatening disease, we need our cells to operate at peak performance, producing “good energy”—the essential fuel that powers every aspect of our physical and mental wellbeing.
If you’re experiencing early signs of “bad energy” in your body, it could be a warning that more serious health problems could emerge later in life. But here’s the good news: for the first time, we can monitor our metabolic health in great detail and take steps to improve it ourselves.
In Good Energy, Dr. Means combines cutting-edge research, personal stories, and groundbreaking data from the health technology company she founded, offering a four-week plan to optimize your health. She explains:
- The five biomarkers that determine your risk for serious disease.
- How to use affordable tools and technology to “see inside your body” and take action.
- Why current dietary philosophies are often confusing, and the six simple, lifelong food principles you can follow, whether you’re carnivore or vegan.
- The crucial connection between sleep, circadian rhythms, and metabolism.
- A new exercise framework focused on integrating simple movements into your daily life.
- How cold and heat exposure can help build your body’s resilience.
- How to navigate the medical system to ensure you’re getting the care you need for optimal health.
Good Energy provides a cutting-edge understanding of the true causes of illness that have been hidden until now. This essential guide will help you optimize your health and live well at any age.

This book is written for the average person to understand. Casey walks through the steps on how to live healthier, longer lives. I especially appreciate the recipes included at the end of the book for healthier energy.

There are lots of good informations in this book. Research shows exactly what Dr Means is explaining in her book. Sometimes the narration veers off to informed extremism, more or less on the same tone of Dr Lustig’s works.
Overall the book is a goldmine of informations, taken obviously ‘cum grano salis’
