In this sizzling new paranormal romance from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Love, Theoretically and The Love Hypothesis, a Vampyre bride and an Alpha Werewolf form a dangerous alliance that turns into a love deep enough to sink your teeth into.
Description
Misery Lark, the only daughter of the most powerful Vampyre councilman in the Southwest, is an outcast once again. Her days of blending in with Humans are over when she’s called to uphold a historic peacekeeping alliance between the Vampyres and their mortal enemies, the Weres. Reluctantly, she must surrender herself to fulfill this exchange…again.
The Weres are ruthless, and their Alpha, Lowe Moreland, is no exception. He rules his pack with absolute authority, but not without justice—and not without feeling. Lowe doesn’t trust Misery, and it’s clear from the way he watches her every move. If only he knew how right he was.
But Misery’s reasons for agreeing to this marriage of convenience go beyond politics and alliances. They are personal, and they have everything to do with the one thing she’s always cared about. She will do whatever it takes to get back what’s hers—even if it means living alone in Were territory…alone with the wolf.

Mina Powers –
Hazlewood creates a fantasy world full of politics, complex characters and a little mystery. I love that while the characters themselves have layers the fantasy world building is not super convoluted. It’s simple to understand, solidly introduced at the beginning and that’s all we need for the story of this Bride. With werewolves, vampires and humans in this fantasy world its perfect for any romatasy lover. The banter and mystery kept me engaged with the story I kept turning the pages to indulge more in these characters. A stand-alone book but it leaves you wanting more for this world and I really hope the author does another one.

I’ve never read any of this authors other books, but I really enjoyed this one. Her writing style is very approachable and fun. The plot was straightforward and all the characters were interesting.
Janaina Apolinario –
The book is delightful to read. She builds up a story like nobody else does. It fun, it’s dramatic, it’s gripping. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this book, it took me of a book slump I was for a little over an year. I’ll reread it for sure!
