No matter what you’re aiming for, Atomic Habits provides a proven framework to help you improve every day. James Clear, one of the world’s foremost experts on habit formation, reveals practical strategies to help you build good habits, break bad ones, and master the small behaviors that lead to extraordinary results.

Description

If you’re struggling to change your habits, the problem isn’t you—it’s your system. Bad habits persist not because you lack the desire to change, but because your system for change is flawed. You don’t rise to the level of your goals; you fall to the level of your systems. Atomic Habits gives you a system that can elevate you to new heights.

Clear is celebrated for making complex topics simple and actionable. In this book, he combines the latest insights from biology, psychology, and neuroscience to create an easy-to-understand guide for making good habits inevitable and bad habits impossible. Along the way, you’ll be inspired and entertained by real-life stories from Olympic gold medalists, award-winning artists, successful business leaders, life-saving doctors, and top comedians—all of whom have used small habits to master their craft and reach the top of their fields.

Inside, you’ll learn how to:

  • Make time for new habits—even when life gets hectic
  • Overcome lack of motivation and willpower
  • Design your environment to make success easier
  • Get back on track when you slip up

Atomic Habits will transform how you think about progress and success, equipping you with the tools and strategies to reshape your habits—whether you’re a team striving for a championship, an organization redefining an industry, or an individual looking to quit smoking, lose weight, reduce stress, or achieve any goal.

I’ve now read Atomic Habits multiple times – after borrowing it from the library over and over, I invested in my own copy. It has earned the space on my bookshelf. I found it so useful on the first read that I felt a periodic refresher was in order. It’s on my annual habit list along with deeper spring cleaning – and even helps spur me on to home maintenance throughout the year so the big spring clean isn’t as involved!

A definite must-read for personal and professional development!
