“You must be our new neighbors!” Mrs. Lowell exclaims, waving excitedly across the picket fence. I squeeze my daughter’s hand and return the smile. But when Mrs. Lowell notices my husband, her expression changes instantly. In that moment, I make a promise: we’ve finally found our family home. My past is behind us, and I’ll do anything to keep it that way…
Description
I used to clean other people’s houses—now, I can hardly believe this beautiful home is mine. The spacious kitchen, the quiet cul-de-sac, the large yard where my children can play freely. My husband and I worked hard for years to give our family the life we’ve always dreamed of.
Though something about our new neighbor, Mrs. Lowell, makes me uneasy, her invitation to dinner seems like the perfect chance to make new friends. But when the door opens, it’s not Mrs. Lowell who greets us—it’s her maid, dressed in a crisp white apron and her hair pulled into a tight bun. I can’t help but feel a strange connection to her, but her cold gaze sends a chill down my spine…
The Lowells’ maid isn’t the only odd thing on our street. I begin to see a shadowy figure lurking nearby. My husband starts leaving the house late at night, and when I meet a woman living across the street, she whispers words that haunt me: Be careful of your neighbors.
Did I make a terrible mistake moving my family here?
I thought my darkest secrets were behind me, but could this quiet suburban neighborhood be hiding dangers I never imagined?
From New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Freida McFadden, comes the latest installment in the heart-pounding Housemaid series. This twist-filled, edge-of-your-seat thriller can be read as a standalone—and once you start, you won’t be able to stop turning the pages until the final shocking twist.

The whole series was great but this topped the whole series. So many plot twists. I can never predict what’s going to happen with any of the books with this series. Loved this book.

A lot of twists and turns. I couldn’t put it down for the last part! Highly recommend The Housemaid series.

I was, excited to read this book, as I really enjoyed the first two in the series. The storyline wss great and kept me on the edge of my seat. One thing that frustrated me is how Millie didn’t confront Enzo when he,was often going to Suzette’s house. The ending was certainly a surprise.
